Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions? We have answers.
What is PDF accessibility?
PDF accessibility means making a PDF usable by everyone, including people with disabilities who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers. An accessible PDF includes proper tagging, headings, alternative text for images, logical reading order, and more.
Why should my PDFs be accessible?
WAccessible PDFs ensure compliance with laws such as the ADA and Section 508. More importantly, they provide equal access to information for all users, including individuals with visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive disabilities. Accessibility helps you reach a wider audience and avoid legal risks.
Do you create new PDFs?
No, we do not create new PDFs. We specialize in remediating existing PDFs to make them accessible and compliant.
Do you remediate other document types, such as Word or PowerPoint?
At the moment, no. Our current focus is on PDF remediation only.
Can existing PDFs be fixed?
We work with all types of PDFs, including reports, forms, brochures, manuals, presentations, and scanned documents. For scanned files, we use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to make text readable and accessible.
How long does it take to make a PDF accessible?
Turnaround time depends on the length and complexity of the PDF. A simple 1–2 page document may take a day, while large reports or forms require more time. We provide a timeline estimate after reviewing your files.
